SCCM Retro lets you add cheat codes to your games and toggle them on before you launch. You add codes from a browser, then flip the ones you want on from the game’s menu. This guide covers what code types work, how to enter them, how to turn them on, and how cheats interact with RetroAchievements and save states.
What cheat types are supported
- GameCube and Wii games (Dolphin): Gecko codes and Action Replay codes.
- The RetroArch systems (NES, SNES, Game Boy / Color, GBA, Genesis, N64, PS1, PSP, Dreamcast): RetroArch cheat codes.
Adding a cheat
Cheats are added from the console’s web page. Open the address shown in Settings under Manage Files (like http://your-console-ip:8097) in a browser, then open the Add Cheats tab. Pick the console and the game, choose the code type if asked (Gecko or Action Replay for Dolphin), give the cheat a clear name, paste the code, and add it. It joins that game’s cheat list.

What to put in each box
- Name: a short label you will recognize, like Infinite Lives.
- Code: paste only the actual code lines. Leave out any author credit or bracketed header line at the top of a code you copied from elsewhere. For a multi-line code, paste all of that cheat’s lines together.

Turning cheats on
Cheats are off until you switch them on, and it is toggle only before launch. On the grid, press A on the game, choose Cheats in its menu, and toggle the ones you want. They take effect the next time you launch that game. Each cheat has its own on and off toggle.

Cheats, RetroAchievements, and save states
- RetroAchievements: cheats and achievements do not mix. Hardcore mode turns off cheats (along with save states and rewind) so points count for full value. If you want your unlocks to count, leave cheats off for that game.
- Save states: a save state captures the game with whatever cheats were active when you launched. Turning a cheat on or off only changes things on a fresh launch, not on a state you already loaded.
