SCCM Retro is a polished, gamepad-driven retro game launcher for a Nintendo Switch running Switchroot Linux. It was built over six months and hundreds of hours with one goal in mind: a genuinely polished, all-in-one emulation solution that feels like a console, not a Linux desktop. One grid, every system, driven entirely by a controller.

Features
SCCM Retro puts every one of your systems in a single cover art grid, and you never have to touch a keyboard or mouse to get to it. Pick up a controller, power on, and you’re browsing your library and launching games in seconds. Under the hood, it handles the parts that usually make Linux emulation a chore: matching each game to the right emulator, applying performance tweaks tuned for the Switch’s hardware, and getting out of the way once a game is running.
- Cover art grid for every system, launched entirely with a controller
- Support for NES, SNES, Game Boy / Color, GBA, Genesis, N64, PS1, PSP, Dreamcast, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, PS2, Nintendo DS, and 3DS.
- Per-game performance tweaks and overclock profiles tuned for the Switch’s Tegra chip.
- A themeable neon interface. Set your own primary and secondary colors and even upload your own background image.
- RetroAchievements built in.
- Cheats and save states, managed per game.
- Auto-import: drop your own legally obtained ROM backups over WiFi or USB and they sort themselves, extract archives, and convert discs to RVZ or CHD and transfer to the fat32 partition if they fit (even most Ps2 and Wii games fit).
- Carries your Bluetooth pairings and saved WiFi over from the Switch’s original firmware. Controllers work seamlessly.
- Updates itself over the air.
- Auto-tuners that find the fastest stable RAM speed, CPU clock, and undervolt for your exact console.
- Custom SVG controller art for remapping screens
- Rom compatibility reporting and auto apply community settings
- Online play for supported systems (Coming soon)

SCCM Retro is free to use. It’s a passion project, and it’s shared as one. If it’s worth something to you, whether that’s the hours it saves you setting up emulation or just the fact that your Switch now feels like a real console again, chip in what you think is fair.
